Greetings from the Principal for Batch 2016/2017
Jakarta, 30 Aug 2017

“Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.”

– Maria Montessori
The year-end concert is the most awaited event of the year for parents to witness their child’s shining moment and glory on the stage. For teachers this is also the time to showcase the work they have put up all through the years.

In the beginning we thought of all possible tricks and effects to make each of the performances grand and perfect for the spectators but as we start the practices we are washed with the reality that this event is not up to us but up to the children, for them and only them!

“The teacher … must have a kind of faith that the child will reveal himself through work.
– Maria Montessori

Looking back at the start of the year, we welcome students with the goals in mind projecting the future of how they should be. Yet everyday it is always proven that we will not go that far unless we follow the child.

Our love and our faith in the process give us the privilege of watching them grow into their own unique being. When we give them freedom, trust and utmost respect they will have a power to teach themselves and achieve their optimal potentials.

“To stimulate life, leaving it free, however, to unfold itself–that is the first duty of the educator.”
– Maria Montessori

Congratulations beloved graduates of academic year 2016/2017!
