All through the years teachers have been entrusted with the biggest responsibility to work hand in hand with parents in passing down information, providing experiences and giving motivation to bring out every child’s optimum potential.
At first, all seems well as the children simply follow, try and learn all that we expect them to learn. For any teacher, this is such a crowning glory and for a moment one thought the work is done.
Yet there will always be the time when they explore further by themselves without asking any help from us like they have forgotten how we have given all our best to make them learn and reach that stage.
It is such a heart breaking feeling but then we see them use our teachings to grow as an individual, expand their knowledge and prove themselves as a valuable member of their class, family, community, world and who knows even beyond the galaxy, then we realize something we have known from the start that the child’s mind is like the universe – constantly growing and expanding and the job is done when we selflessly allowed them how to do it by themselves.
We shall walk together on this path of life, for all things are a part of the universe, and are connected with each other to form one whole unity. This idea helps the mind of the child to become fixed, to stop wandering in an aimless quest for knowledge. He is satisfied, having found the universal centre of himself with all things.
